Reflecting on Hispanic Heritage with Jose, RVP of Retail Ops - Great Lakes Region

My name is Jose (Joe) son of Dagoberto & Lucila Cahue who migrated from Huandacareo Michoacán, Mexico. I'm one of four sons, second generation Mexican. I'm married to my bride, Cathy, and have two beautiful children, Niko & Joey (Bea) and two fur babies, Norman & Theo, both Shih Tzus.

Hispanic heritage is more than just the delicious food and a tourist hotspot. It’s about the community, traditions, recipes, family time and more. My best memories always take me back to my roots of spending time with my family and extended family. In Hispanic families, if you’re invited to a carne asada - you’re already family. Years of recipes and traditions have been passed down from generations and we like to keep it going. To me, it means making memories with those you love the most.

Jose works at PetSmart as the RVP of Retail Operations - Great Lakes Region and has been part of the team for the past seven years. He has been dubbed "the Selfie King" by a select few—get a glimpse of some of the fun of his #lifeatpetsmart below to see why! 😊
