Helping families find each other through PetSmart Charities 🐾
PetSmart Charities makes the world a better place for pets by investing in community partners that advocate and care for their well-being. One of our biggest wins is bringing the total number of pets finding their forever home through PetSmart Charities to a total of 10.8M+! Almost 347K pets found loving homes this year! With the efforts put forth this year, a total of $5.29M in grants have been awarded across 9,300+ partners. And this year alone, over 10 million pounds of pet food have been distributed. Be the Difference
This year, we celebrated 25 years of Be the Difference at PetSmart! This annual two-week campaign is where all 50,000+ associates are encouraged to come together, give back, and live our values of United Together and Passion for Pets and People. Donations from this year's campaign reached nearly $2 million. This is a fantastic achievement, and it's incredible to see the good we can do when we come together.
Chance & Friends Donations
We've achieved yet another remarkable year, surpassing our stores' 2.5 million donation goal for our 11th annual Chance and Friends stuffed animal Toy Drive! Back in 2013, this initiative launched and gathered just over 300K toys to donate to better local communities during the holiday season. Since then, our store leaders and associates have consistently excelled in collaborating with local communities, and with the invaluable support of our pet parents, we've witnessed continuous growth each year. The heartwarming stories about the positive impact on children in need are truly inspiring. This program also serves as a benefit for PetSmart Charities, enabling them to aid homeless pets. A heartfelt thank you to all the associates and pet parents who contributed to the success of the Chance and Friends donation program!
2M+ PlayUp Recognitions issued!
Recognition has such a strong impact on an associate’s sense of belonging and appreciation, and we're proud that it's interwoven so deeply within our culture at PetSmart. Our PlayUp Program allows for both leaders and associates to recognize each other's accomplishments. The TWO MILLION PlayUps issued have included:

Opening of PetSmart Veterinary Service Locations in Our Stores
PetSmart Veterinary Services works on a true independent ownership model that’s unlike anything else. It’s a simple but powerful solution that gives veterinarians control of their practice in a reduced time frame for reduced startup costs than what would normally be required. Additionally, PetSmart Veterinary Services helps with certain back-office support, allowing veterinarians to focus more time on care, and less time on the day-to-day business operations. Hundreds of PVS locations have already opened to provide top care to pets, with more on the way in the coming year!
None of these wins would be possible without our dedicated team members. Their passion, expertise, and love for animals shine through every day, creating an environment where pets and their owners feel truly valued.
