Meet Chris, Supply Chain Planner at PetSmart and the proud new pet parent of Roxy (his Labrador puppy 🥰)
Getting new puppies isn't the only thing PetSmart associates do! Check out what Chris thought of his rotational internship with PetSmart and learn how he continued to grow his career with us. Chris started with us as a Supply Chain Rotational Analyst and has progressed through a few roles since then.
After graduating with his Bachelor's Degree, Chris began our rotational program in Supply Chain. In our rotational programs you get the opportunity to cycle through different facets of the department you are hired into. This helps you find where you can make the most impact in your journey from campus to career! His internship did Anything for Pets by allowing him to utilize "FourKites, a freight visibility tool, to develop processes used to help proactively communicate transportation delays and deliver updates to stores." This allows our stores to better predict when delivery trucks will arrive, giving them more time to focus on creating an enjoyable customer experience for pet parents, who enter the store. Creating better experience for associates and for pet parents (and their pets)! ❤️🐾 Besides his love of pets, he continues to choose PetSmart because of our people and culture. He stated that "each manager I have reported to has supported me and helped me develop, and all of the teammates I have worked with are incredibly genuine and down-to-earth, making me cherish the relationships I have at PetSmart." When we asked what advice he has for someone interested in an internship at PetSmart he mentioned the following:
"Be your authentic self! Whether it is because you have a passion for retail, or you just really like cats and dogs, be honest and truthful when answering why you want to be at PetSmart. Letting your passion and excitement for this organization come through will help you stand out and make great impressions."
